My Little NYC Stationery Haul

I was excited to go stationery store hopping in New York—especially whenever I see Raquel’s NYC posts and videos. Well, I was excited in general because it was our first time visiting the States. Being first-timers, there were a lot of things in our itinerary, but I’m glad I was able to squeeze in some time to go to stationery stores.

I managed to check out four shops, and I wasn’t really looking for anything in particular—I just went with whatever caught my interest. It might be dangerous to wander into these stores without some kind of a list, but my journaling friends tell me that I have the most restraint when it comes to stationery shopping, so I trusted myself that I won’t go overboard 😁

Missing My Tall Little Sister

I am currently relistening to Mark Manson’s ‘backwards law’ podcast episode, and I found myself involuntarily reaching for my copy of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck, which my sister gave as a bon voyage gift when we moved to Canada in 2018.

My sister filled this book with pictures of us, photos of our favorite movie/tv characters, inside jokes, and sweet messages. I haven’t finished this book yet, which means I haven’t read everything she had written down, and I love that there are still sweet notes to uncover after 6 years.

Home Chef No More

I miss hearing Kenneth say, “Wowwww..” everytime nagluluto ako. Ugh life.

I have found my people! I am so happy that my choices led me to finding them. I invited my online-to-real friend, Xiao, for brunch to thank her for helping me with Almond’s trip to Canada. We went to the stationery store after eating. There, I met a few fellow journalers. One thing led to another, and I got invited to join their bi-weekly planner hangout.

Ramblings #40

Happy Things #21

Since medyo malungkot ang previous post ko, it’s time for my recent happy things!

Byeeee!

Last day ko na bukas!! As much as I love this job, I’m not sad about getting a nice long break from sitting and typing all day.

My current job is seasonal/contractual kaya may ganitong hanash.
