Dernier dimanche, nous sommes allés au café Clementine avec nos amis. Il faisait très froid. Nous sommes arrivé à 13h30 et il y a avait 1 heure de waiting time. Donc, nous sommes retournés à notre voiture pour attendre.
Last Sunday, we went to Clementine Cafe with our friends. It was so cold. We arrived at 1:30PM and there’s a 1 hour waiting time. So we went back to our car to wait.
J’ai oublié d’écrire ici en français. Bonjour! C’est mardi et il est 6h30 du matin. Je me suis levé vers 5h du matin. Je regarde par la fenêtre et la neige melting déjà. Je miss les arbres blancs. Mais ça va parce que dans quelques minutes, je vais voir le soleil se lever.
I forgot to write here in French. Good morning! It’s Tuesday and it’s 6:30 in the morning. I got up around 5AM. I’m looking at the window and the snow is already melting. I miss the white trees. But it’s okay because in a few minutes, I’m going to see the sun rise.

Ilang days na kong nag-f-French sa panaginip ko. Tuloy, ang bagal kong magsalita tapos paulit-ulit ako kasi hindi ko sure kung tama yung grammar. Hindi tuloy makausad yung nangyayari sa panaginip ko.
Bonjour! Je me suis réveillé tôt. Il est 6h du matin. Je sais que mon mari va se réveiller tard, peut-être 10h ou 11h. Aujourd’hui, nous allons aller dans un petit resto pour acheter des repas pour la semaine prochaine. Nous also need aussi de papier toilette, nous allons aller donc aussi au supermarché.
Good morning! I woke up early. It’s 6:00 AM. I know that my husband will wake up late, maybe 10 or 11 AM. Today, we will go to a small restaurant to buy meals for the next week. We also need some toilet paper so we will also go to the supermarket.
I am keen to sharing my French learning adventures at nakakatuwa pag may kausap ako tapos all of a sudden, gusto nila kong pagsalitain ng French! Una nagugulat ako kasi interested din sila. Or pwedeng they find my French-related posts amusing or entertaining. Either way, nakaka-flatter and I am happy to indulge 😆
After 2 months of online classes, first time namin mag-meet in person kagabi! Pero di lahat nakapunta. Siguro half ng class nasa Zoom tapos kaming other half nasa classroom. Feel na feel ko talaga yung pagka-estudyante kagabi tapos ang ganda nung campus. 1818 sya tinayo so 204 y/o na sya. Gabi yung klase namin so hindi ko sya na-picturan ng maganda.
Cocou! It’s been a long time. I feel like mon français has little improvement. Je dois plus pratiquer outside mes cours de français. Mais, j’ai trouvé une amie who’s helping with mon français. Nous met sur Instagram. Nous nous envoyons des messages voice. J’aime écouter son accent et ses phrases. J’espère que nous serons de bonnes amies.
Hey! It’s been a long time. I feel like my French has little improvement. I need to practice more outside my French classes. But, I found a friend who’s helping with my French. We met each other on Instagram. We send each other voice messages. I like to listen to her accent and her sentences. I hope we will be good friends.
Il fait froid aujourd’hui. C’est refreshing parce que c’etait chaud ces dernier jours. Je viens de finir de faire des autocollants pour ma boutique et maintenant, je vais regarder des series ou un film to chill.
It’s cold today. It’s refreshing because it was hot the last few days. I just finished making stickers for my shop and now, i’m going to watch some series or a movie to chill.
I’m getting my $800 back!
Short back story: Nagbayad ako ng $800 (around 34k sa peso) for French classes knowing na pag complete attendance ako, ire-refund daw nila yung binayad ko.
After 2 months, na-receive ko na (finally) yung confirmation na complete attendance nga ako. Kasi kelangan din daw muna nilang siguraduhin kung wala ba kong late, wala akong nakaaway na teacher or student, mga ganung bagay. Alam ko namang wala akong brineak na rules, nakampante lang ako dun sa e-mail na confirmed na talaga na qualified ako sa refund.
Je ne sais pas pourquoi je suis triste ce matin. J’ai fait du yoga, j’ai exercé, j’ai mangé mon déj avec du yaourt mais je ne vais pas bien. Je pense c’est because of Kenneth.
I don’t know why I’m sad this morning. I did yoga, I exercised, I ate my breakfast with yogurt but I’m not doing okay. I think it’s because of Kenneth.
Sabi ko kahapon, for sure kakabahan ako 30 minutes before mag-start ang klase. Eto na yung sinasabi kong free language program ng province of Manitoba para sa mga permanent residents na gustong matutong mag-French (CLIC program ang tawag). Ine-expect ko nang mag “dug-dug” yung dibdib ko pero hindi dumating. Hindi ko alam kung dahil ba may bisita kami kahapon kaya wala na kong time kabahan? 6PM kasi yung klase tapos mga 5:35PM na sila nakaalis so nagmadali rin akong kumain bago magsimula. Wala lang. Ang unexpected lang na hindi ako ninerbyos.
Tomorrow will be the start of my French classes with Université de Saint-Boniface at hindi ako kinakabahan (for now). For sure, kakabahan ako ay 30 minutes before the class pag na-iimagine ko na kung anong mga pwedeng mangyari, na kelangan kong mag-introduce ng sarili, na baka ma-blangko ako, na baka slow ako at hindi ko maintindihan ang mga lessons… So I will make the most out of my chill self bago ako atakihin ng nerbyos.
Bonjour à tous! It’s been a long time que je n’ai pas écrit en français ici. Je mange un sandwich au poulet et des frites from Popeyes (mon plat préféré). J’ai aussi commandé ma boisson préférée from Happy Lemon. Pendant manger, je regarde des cours de français sur YouTube.
Hello everyone! It’s been a long time since I wrote in French here. I’m eating a chicken sandwich and french fries from Popeyes (my favorite food). I also ordered my favorite drink from Happy Lemon. While eating, I’m watching French lessons on YouTube.
I had my French skills assessed today and honestly, hindi ako masyadong kinabahan. Hindi rin ako nag-prepare kasi gusto kong ma-gauge talaga yung totoong level ko. Hindi naman ‘to IELTS na dapat mataas yung score. In-evaluate yung speaking, listening, writing at reading skills ko.
English pa sya magsalita nung una. Explain explain sya kung anong gagawin namin for the next few hours. Pero nung bigla na syang nag “Bonjour.” Ayan na! Kailangan nang paganahin ang brain cells, kailangan nang halukayin ang mga inaral nung mga nakaraang buwan. Eh di sabi ko rin, “Bonjour.”
