Nung malapit nang dumating ang parents ni Kenneth dito, na-eexcite na ko. Diba sabi ko last time parang nakaka-anxious. Pero few days leading up to it, looking forward na ko. Si Kenneth pa nga yung hindi ko nakikitaan ng excitement. Di ko alam kung anong trauma ang pinagdaanan nya bakit hirap na hirap syang magpakita ng happy and sad emotions. Ang default nya ay nonchalant lang, peppered with anger and goofiness.

Luto ng Papa

Noong bata ako, hindi ko naman na-aappreciate masyado yung luto ng Papa ko. Although oo, masayang kumain na masarap ang ulam, pero normal na kasi samin na magaling syang magluto. Hindi na bago samin ang halos araw-araw na pagkain ng masasarap na luto nya. So I took it for granted.

Kasama namin yung family ng tito ko from Winnipeg two weeks ago. Meron kasi silang a-attendan na kasal dito sa Canmore and nag-book sila ng Airbnb for 3 nights kasama kami. Tapos may pasalubong sila samin na tatlong crispy pata! Hihi. Na-miss kong makipag-bonding sa kanila and it’s always nice to have family around kahit mabilis lang.

Ganda nung Airbnb na binook nila 🤍

Habang uma-attend sila ng kasal, nagikot lang kami ni Kenneth sa isang malapit na lake. Nagyaya na rin ako agad pabalik ng Airbnb kasi ang lamig. Hindi nakaka-enjoy mag-walking. Buti na lang maganda yung mountains.

I’m excited na makabalik sa USJ at makasakay ulit sa Flying Dinosaur, my favorite ride. Pero ang sad na wala na yung isa kong favorite, yung Space Fantasy. Huhu whyyy.

My kyot sistar. Muka ng Mama haha!

Hindi ko alam bakit naligaw nanaman kami papuntang USJ. Nagmamadali pa naman kami para makakuha ng free timed ticket to Nintendo World. Pero buti na lang umabot pa rin kami. Gusto kasi ni Tricia na bumili kami ng Express Passes na pagkamahal-mahal para sure yung entry namin sa Nintendo World. Pero buti na lang nagtiwala sya sakin na makakakuha kami for free. Tsaka hindi peak season kaya rin siguro nakapasok kami.

Good morning/evening!

Ang nasa utak ko ngayon ay Pilipinas. Kasi nai-imagine ko kung gano ka-festive dun ngayon. Yung ramdam na ramdam mo yung holiday cheer, lalo na sa mga malls. Ang sarap umuwi! Ang tagal ko nang dream na makauwi ng holiday season. Kaso hindi pa matuloy-tuloy. Sa ngayon, magpapatugtog na lang ulit ako ng “Di ba’t kay ganda sa atin ng… Paskoooo… Naiiba ang pagdiriwang ditooo…” like every other December, habang medyo teary eyed.

If we have unlimited funds, we would spend every Christmas and New Year in the Philippines.

California 2025 Highlights Pt. 3

Rainy days in LA

Since sobrang konti nga ng kaalaman ko about LA, nito ko lang nalaman na hindi pala karaniwan umuulan sa LA. Kaya niloloko nila kami na kami yung nagdala ng ulan kasi maulan nung week na punta namin. Ngayon ko lang din nalaman na since hindi nga maulan dito, ito yung ideal place mag-shoot ng movies, plus idagdag mo pa yung varied landscapes like mountains, beaches, and deserts—a perfect shooting location. Good to know.

Maliit na Pulang Speaker

I was connecting to my Bluetooth speaker at nakita ko sa device list yung speaker ng Mommy. My heart sank. Bumalik sakin yung mga days sa ospital na tatanungin ko ang Mommy kung gusto nyang makinig ng music, tapos tatango sya. Papatugtugin ko dun sa maliit na pulang speaker yung mga paborito nyang lumang kanta, o kaya minsan mga piano music. Tatanungin ko sya ng, “Rinig mo Mommy?” kasi nakikipagsabayan sa music yung tunog ng mechanical ventilator nya. Ipi-pwesto ko yung speaker sa may ulunan nya para sure na rinig nya.

Hay sobrang miss kita Mommy 😔
