Pensées du Matin • Morning Thoughts | I Try to Blog in French #12

Bonjour! Je me suis réveillé tôt. Il est 6h du matin. Je sais que mon mari va se réveiller tard, peut-être 10h ou 11h. Aujourd’hui, nous allons aller dans un petit resto pour acheter des repas pour la semaine prochaine. Nous also need aussi de papier toilette, nous allons aller donc aussi au supermarché.

Good morning! I woke up early. It’s 6:00 AM. I know that my husband will wake up late, maybe 10 or 11 AM. Today, we will go to a small restaurant to buy meals for the next week. We also need some toilet paper so we will also go to the supermarket.

Almond is Free!

Finally nasa bahay na uli si Almond. Pag gising ko si Almond agad ang naisip ko at nag-download ako ng Messenger para i-check kung may sinend silang pics ni Almond na nasa bahay na, kaso wala huhu. Pero okay lang. At least alam kong komportable na sya at makaka-receive na sya ng madaming hugs and cuddles.

Tamagotchi Deprived Adult

Tandang tanda ko nung elementary ako, nasa mall kami ng Mama (sa Ocean Palace Mall na wala na ngayon). Hindi ako yung tipo na nagpapabili ng mga laruan kasi alam kong di kami mayaman. Kaya gulat na gulat ako nung tinanong ako ng Mama kung ano daw gusto ko. First time ko narinig sa kanya yun tapos nasa mall kami! Di ako nagsayang ng segundo, tamagotchi agad ang sinabi ko.

Fake Twitter #15

Just finished I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy and now I’m watching her interviews and crying. I’m glad I got to watch this video which led me to read this heartbreaking, emotional, sometimes humorous book. I do not relate to her past experiences with her mom in any way (the abuse, manipulation, the exploitation) but I could imagine how it must have been. It’s very insightful and teaches you to show more compassion. I also couldn’t stop reading because her writing is so compelling. Love this book!🤍

Estudyante Feels

After 2 months of online classes, first time namin mag-meet in person kagabi! Pero di lahat nakapunta. Siguro half ng class nasa Zoom tapos kaming other half nasa classroom. Feel na feel ko talaga yung pagka-estudyante kagabi tapos ang ganda nung campus. 1818 sya tinayo so 204 y/o na sya. Gabi yung klase namin so hindi ko sya na-picturan ng maganda.

Happy Things #12

Top Secret

It happened Oct 16, 2022. It was a Sunday. And it’s one of the most (if not the most) memorable and meaningful experiences of my life. I learned that I am capable of loving more deeply and that I have a lot of love to give—to others and to myself. I had a glimpse of a different version of myself. More loving, more curious, in awe of everything, more patient and relaxed. I just hope that I will be able to cultivate that experience—that feeling—and bring it with me in my everyday life.

Scaredy Cat | I Try to Blog in French #11

Cocou! It’s been a long time. I feel like mon français has little improvement. Je dois plus pratiquer outside mes cours de français. Mais, j’ai trouvé une amie who’s helping with mon français. Nous met sur Instagram. Nous nous envoyons des messages voice. J’aime écouter son accent et ses phrases. J’espère que nous serons de bonnes amies.

Hey! It’s been a long time. I feel like my French has little improvement. I need to practice more outside my French classes. But, I found a friend who’s helping with my French. We met each other on Instagram. We send each other voice messages. I like to listen to her accent and her sentences. I hope we will be good friends.
