Life Updates | Journaling Club + Succession + Spring is Here!

1.

I have found my people! I am so happy that my choices led me to finding them. I invited my online-to-real friend, Xiao, for brunch to thank her for helping me with Almond’s trip to Canada. Tapos sakto, merong stamp caravan event sa favorite stationery store ko (26 Market)—na malapit lang dun sa brunch place. We went to the stationery store after eating. There, I met a few fellow journalers. One thing led to another, and I got invited to join their bi-weekly planner hangout.

A beautiful journal stack

My first meetup with them was so overwhelming. I just couldn’t believe it! Here were people who spoke my language. It was so fun geeking out about planners, journals, stickers, washi tapes, fountain pens, inks, and all things stationery. Ang saya!

Favorite spot at the office

I’m becoming a more active member of the workforce by participating in non-required information sessions. I’ve attended two already, and they’re both health-related. One is about stretching and the other is chair yoga. I enjoyed both of them, and I’m looking forward to joining other sessions that interest me. Plus, it’s time away from work and it’s still paid. Why didn’t I consider this before??

Shiv fucking Roy

Succession!! I. Am. Obsessed. Finally natapos ko na at ang ganda ng finale! Ayoko pa sana syang matapos, but all good things must come to an end. Now I get why everyone was raving about it. What a masterpiece!

After what felt like a long, long winter, spring is finally here! It’s green everywhere, with pops of yellows and lavenders from the flowers. I’m also starting to see a lot of animals. The goslings are back, I see different kinds of birds, two ducks, and a shy rabbit.

Plus, the weather is soooo nice. I get to walk home after work again. I love spring—but I love autumn more of course 🧡

The three kitties are getting along now! After 2 months, the hissing has come to a minimum. It’s gone from maybe 10 times a day to only once or twice (or thrice?) a day. I am so happy! Especially when I see Cashew and Almond playing and chasing each other. Walnut needs some more time to completely warm up, but she’s getting there.

I’d like to think that Almond is happier now with her younger sibs. She is dominating everyone with her wildness, and melting our hearts with her sweetness. Can’t wait for them to have a bigger place to run around and explore.
