I didn’t even realize that my Gleniz da Menace newsletter just turned a year old! I still have my occasional once-or-twice-a-month free posts, but September last year I started making these exclusive posts to help support this ancient blog of mine.
Though I am fairly consistent with my creative output here, I am sluggish in a business sense and find discomfort in promoting this paid newsletter too much. So if you find enjoyment in what I write here, I hope you’ll consider a paid subscription. If you’re wondering if it’s worth it, here’s a note from one of the early subscribers:

I shared this with Kenneth and tried reading the message out loud to him but failed ‘cos I started crying. Thank you for your generous words 🥺
Once again, thank you so much to everyone who’s been there for it. You’ve been consistently amazing and I can’t express enough how grateful I am. I think all that’s left to say is, how lucky am I? 😭

Now, onto the recap:
JULY DIGEST
* links in bold are paid posts
- Got a little obsessed with PBB Celebrity Collab which was highlighted in July Life Updates. We also had our first house guests (no pun intended) at Diaz Mansion and I talked about my cat sitting gig!
- Visited the 9 goals I set in the beginning of the year in Mid-Year Check
- I had fun writing the first edition of The Menace Bulletin (issue #2 is on the way!) In contrast, annoyed feelings were summoned while writing A Shitty Memory.
- Reviewed our Q2 Expenses and I was not proud.
- Some favorite highlights from Austin Kleon’s book in Ramblings #54, plus the all-too-familiar cycle of hitting a low and crawling back up in July’s Thursday Letter.
AUGUST DIGEST
- This month was super busy and I only managed to write two posts. One in the beginning of my PH trip (a Life Update) and one after the trip about being jet lagged.
SEPTEMBER DIGEST
- A life update in the beginning of the month quickly recapping my trips and my new little fixations.
- I found the ultimate ultimate video throwback of 10-year old Gleniz! This and others in Happy Things #27.
- No company would ever hire me once they read The Okayest Employee. But since no recruiters are lurking around here (I still want a job), this is what our Paycheck Routine looks like.
- I once was part of a cult (don’t worry it’s mostly harmless, just expensive) that went a little crazy when it’s planner season. But my eyes are now open, and this year I’m just getting this one thing (and maybe this one other thing). More details on Thursday Letter #11.
- Mommy and her red speaker 😔

Thank you for reading 🤍
