My Favorite Love Language

As someone na ang favorite love language to receive ay words of affirmation, pakiramdam ko hindi ako ganun ka-satisfied kasi hindi natural kay Kenneth ang pagiging expressive. Napagusapan na naman namin ‘to, pero talagang may mga bagay na hindi kayang pilitin. Okay lang. Na-accept ko na. Kaya naman pag nakaka-receive ako ng compliments from other people, SOBRANG nakakataba ng puso. And because words of affirmation rarely come my way, sinunod ko yung napanood kong idea na gumawa ng album sa phone, with screenshots of messages from people expressing their appreciation and sending uplifting statements.

So far, I have 9 screenshots. Pag down ako or not feeling so confident, dito ako pumupunta. Instant good vibes. Ang powerful nung effect nya kasi ang generous nila sa mga words nila. Kung isa kayo sa mga nag-message, sobrang thank you kasi yung iba dito 2021 pa, pero long-lasting yung effect hanggang ngayon. I highly suggest you do this too—both the giving and collecting these mood-boosting affirmations (lalo na kung ito rin yung favorite nyong love language).

At since favorite ko nga ang words of affirmation, yung una kong thinking, “The more the merrier.” Eager ako na madagdagan pa yung laman ng album ko. Pero nung nanonood ako ng anime nung isang araw, may sinabi yung main character na tumatak sakin:

I’d imagine Kenneth would be grateful too, kasi nagawa nyo ang hindi nya kayang ma-accomplish. I don’t say this with bitterness. I’ve come to learn that we musn’t expect everything from our partner.
